Please note that whilst we believe that the information on this page is accurate and up to date, it is for general guidance only and is subordinate to the Booking Conditions. Our aim is for you to enjoy your stay at Porth Enys and we hope the information below is of assistance. More detailed information will be provided to all visitors shortly before arrival.

Please do not hesitate to contact us by email or phone if you have any queries.

1.  Gas and Electricity - Gas and Electric charges are included in the Tariff. The central heating controls are sited on the wall in the middle of the lounge. Cooking is by electricity.

2.  You should be aware that duvets, blankets, and pillows are provided, as are purely decorative duvet covers. You should therefore provide your own sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases, and towels as necessary. Alternatively, Bed Linen and towels can be hired from Rainbow at costs set out on the linen hire price list. You should notify your requirements before the balance of the cost of your booking is due so that the cost can be included with your final payment. Any linen requirement made after that time will have to be made direct with the supplier. Linen hire costs MUST be paid in full, along with the balance of hire charges, no later than 21 days before arrival.  Full details are on the price list

3.  Damp - Cornish air is often warm and moist, tending to cause condensation. Visitors are encouraged, therefore, to open the bathroom window in particular to allow ventilation whilst showering.

4.  Pets - Pets are not allowed at Porth Enys.

5.  Damage Deposit - A damage deposit of £60(sometimes £100) is required for all bookings. All visitors are reminded that every care should be taken with the house and its contents, and that breakages and other damage are chargeable.

6.  Car Parking - Car parking for up to three cars is available on site and is included in the tariff. If, exceptionally, you require additional parking, there are a number of long and short stay car parks around St. Ives. Weekly tickets for these are available and can be bought from the attendants. For car parking charges in general, please contact  the tourist information office or Penwith Council.

7.  Short Breaks - Bookings for short breaks at Porth Enys may, at the owners sole discretion,  be accepted from previous visitors to Porth Enys. Such bookings are, due to the cleaning costs of such a large house, subject to a minimum charge of £250.00.

8.  Bookings for next year - Bookings for your next years' holiday may be made at any time.  Porth Enys is booking up earlier each year, particularly due to increasing use of the internet.  Regular visitors are given preference, but they should inform us as soon as they feel able to confirm their intentions.  We will not normally accept bookings over 12 months ahead, particularly if the dates conflict with those of a known regular visitor.  On receipt of such an enquiry and at our sole discretion, we may try to contact our regular visitor in order to establish their requirements before accepting a booking.  Otherwise, we will take your contact details and confirm availability to you once our regular client has confirmed their wishes to us.  If you wish to visit Porth Enys again next year, the safest course is to let us know during, or at the end of, this years' holiday. Please contact Colin Antrobus by phone or email to reserve your dates.

9.  Key Collection - details of key collection will be supplied along with instructions on getting to the house will be supplied once final payment has been received. Visitors should ensure that all windows and doors at Porth Enys are left securely locked when they are not on the premises or on departure.
