St Ives Holiday Cottage Garden

The kitchen is well equiped with work surfaces and cupboards and has a washer/dryer, dish washer, fridge/freezer, oven/hob, etc.

"Porth Enys" is a Grade II listed, early Victorian, terraced family house. "Porth Enys" has been modernised but retains many original features, is full of character, and has a light, airy, and very friendly atmosphere in which to enjoy your self-catering holiday.

"Porth Enys" is situated on the main road down into St. Ives but is set above the road on a raised pedestrian terrace. Access to the town takes literally just a few seconds, and does not involve any serious hill climbing.

"Porth Enys" also has a small, and in high summer sunny, patio/courtyard, a small south facing and sloping garden, and a car parking area which is large enough for three cars.

The railway station is only a short walk away. Likewise, all bus services are close at hand. Since the town centre is so close, all facilities, banks, churches(one is almost immediately opposite), the post office, doctors, shops, etc., are very convenient to your holiday home. The Tate Gallery and the Barbara Hepworth Museum are only a little further away, and all St. Ives marvellous beaches are within easy walking distance. Porthminster family beach is the closest, being just below the railway station, whilst Porthmeor surfing beach is but a short walk across the town. The harbour, with it's many colourful boats and constant activity, is also close to hand, and views over the whole of St. Ives bay can be had by walking 50 yards to the Malakoff, as well as from the car parking area at the rear of the house. St Ives'  leisure suite and swimming pool are a ten minute walk away.

St. Ives boasts a number of very good restaurants, many specialising in locally caught fish. The local pubs are full of character and are sure to provide a warm welcome. There are a wide variety of gift shops and picture galleries, whilst surfers have a number of shops catering for all their needs.

St. Ives has an exceptionally clear light - much appreciated by artists - and has won many awards both as a holiday destination and for it's summer flower displays.
